The Serpent of the Thousand Sorrows

Once ruler of the great waves, the Serpent of the Thousand Sorrows was feared for its crushing embrace and unyielding strength.

Born from hatred, fear, and sorrow, it was raised by the Sect of the Thousand Sorrows as both guardian and ally. Through countless battles, it became one of the sect's greatest protectors, standing against all who threatened its people.

Among its fiercest enemies was Mo Tian of Heaven's Shadow Sect. Their clashes became legend, leaving scars on both serpent and man.

After their most recent battle, the serpent vanished into the Fringe, a realm where the living and the dead share the same dark waters. Even the Society of Hidden Skies dares not pursue it there.

Now it waits beneath the currents of a forgotten river, wounded but unbroken.

Its true name remains unknown

Forged in secrecy. Only 50 of each variant exist. 

Variant Meanings

Living Serpent (Black Border): Wounded, but alive. The serpent continues to swim the dark rivers of the Fringe, beyond the reach of its enemies.

Fallen Serpent (Orange/Red Border): Slain by a member of the Society of Hidden Skies. Only its legend remains.
